Dunkin’ Luzern and Emmen
A Boost for Central Switzerland
For the opening of the first Dunkin’ Donuts in Central Switzerland, teamtischer, as general contractor, managed the entire planning and approval process, as well as the rebuilding itself. We faced the unique challenges of Lucerne’s protected Old Town zone with its special regulations.
For the provisioning of new power connections, the road in front of the restaurant had to be torn up. However, the shop in the middle of Lucerne's lively pedestrian zone caused a sensation in its first few days – with queues 100 meters in length, and many children's eyes wide open with delight as they stared at the orange Dunkin' lettering.
At The Emmen Center, we faced the challenge of integrating Dunkin' into the center's open mall space. Located under two intersecting escalators and without a closed ceiling, the space had to reconcile customers’ demands for visibility, hygiene and a friendly service process with management’s diverse requirements and ideas.
teamtischer’s layout, planning, and execution resulted in a solution that was attractive for all parties. The highly visible Dunkin' contributes significantly to the fun of the shopping experience in the Emmen Center.
