The «TITLIS Project» is one of the most ambitious construction initiatives in the Swiss Alps. The Titlis infrastructure is being upgraded for the future – both architecturally and ecologically. The renovation of the base station souvenir shop into «The Valley Shop» is a first step toward this broader concept. Its goal is to modernize the shopping experience – moving away from the classic souvenir kiosk toward a lifestyle atmosphere, while also expanding the offering to include snacks. The shop concept was designed by teamtischer designer Kurt Zeltner. A highlight is the use of decommissioned gondolas, which serve as seating areas or photo hotspots. teamtischer successfully completed the project despite a very tight schedule – concept development in spring, planning in summer, construction starting in September, and opening in October. After all, we also aim for “The Peak to Be” (the official slogan of the TITLIS cable cars).
