Despite the Covid-19 pandemic, after an intensive planning and modelling phase, ZFV's first Flavourbox was put into operation at Rämibühl High School in Zurich. The basic principle of Flavourbox is fast changeability of food themes. The full-surface magnetic sheets can be replaced in less than an hour. This quickly turns the Burger Special into the Ramen Noodles Special. ZFV has created a dozen different themes and motifs for Flavourbox, each with corresponding recipes and dishes. The cooking appliances are adapted to everyone’s respective needs, using appropriate appliance inserts within a flexible cooking station. The first assembly and dismantling at Rämibühl High School and the reassembly at Oerlikon High School have already been carried out, in the planned half-day. This considerable achievement was only possible because a perfect assembly manual had been created, and all parts of the system were logically labeled and numbered throughout.

The Flavourbox story continues. teamtischer has implemented a mobile box that’s identical to the "rental model", and the next projects for staff restaurants and museums are being planned. The concept inspires hosts and guests alike.
