The title couldn’t be more fitting for the project in Vuadens — because at this pace, fastening the seatbelt really was a good idea. From concept development by a teamtischer designer to the handover of the new municipal restaurant as general contractor, the entire project took just under two months. The schedule was extremely tight, with a limited budget and the client’s request that all contractors be sourced locally. Adding to the challenge, construction coincided with the summer holiday season — while the tenant was eager to open the café as quickly as possible. What followed was efficient planning, close coordination, and quick, often on-site decision-making — supported by the full commitment of every supplier and tradesperson involved. The result? A flawless finish and a fitting welcome: “Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to the new Café de la Gare!”
