Thai culture in Rapperswil? That’s exactly what "Thai with Knie" is. The background becomes clear when you realize that Claudia Knie, from the well-known local circus family, designed the modern restaurant together with interior designer Iria Degen, and that Franco Knie Senior is often seen there himself. teamtischer supported the project from its conception in January 2024 through planning, construction, and the eventual opening in August 2024.  

The project came with some challenges, especially with the outdated and undocumented building technology, which required smart solutions for electrical, ventilation, and cooling systems. A major part of the execution was ensuring that the customer’s aesthetic vision was met. For example, the bar counter was custom-made in Italy, and despite the need to temporarily remove an entire sliding door to install the counter, the project was completed on time. You can say "Taan hai a-roi" (enjoy your meal) when visiting the Himmapan restaurant.
