Dunkin’ Donuts in Geneva
Dismantling the Old
And Conceiving the New
After experiencing French-speaking Switzerland with the project in Biel, teamtischer took on a real challenge in Geneva. At the Geneva Airport railway station, Dunkin' had rented two adjacent shops. Because Geneva is too far away for a "nightly" delivery from the production located in Aathal ZH, the site had to have its own small finishing center. This production was designed to supply up to three locations in and around Geneva in the future.
teamtischer designed and planned the shop and the finishing center. But before construction could start, there were hurdles to overcome. The building application – a very "special" experience in Geneva – was also our responsibility. In addition, the dismantling of old shops (a jeweler and a chocolatier) had to be carried out on behalf of the property owner, SFR. And even this dismantling was unique. One example - the jeweler had simply left his safe, weighing tones, and keys behind!
Pulling off a great logistic performance that included a show of force, we succeeded in removing the huge safe from the space, passing it on to a professional disposal service. By the way, the safe was empty!
After a Covid 19-related break in construction, the new store and finishing center began operation in mid-June. Gratifying for us and especially for our client, sales immediately flourished. More Geneva adventures will follow soon.
