Dirk Rossmann opened his first store in 1972. Today, with over 65,000 employees and nearly 5,000 branches, Rossmann is one of the largest drugstore chains in Europe. The company entered the Swiss market in December 2024 with its 4,967th store at the Emmen Center. Building inside a shopping center is a challenging task that places high demands on project management. During the planning phase, construction and building services issues were resolved, tenders were issued, and construction contracts were drawn up.

During the construction phase, site inspections were carried out, requiring meticulous task tracking. Fire safety was a critical issue, HVAC systems had to be reprogrammed, flooring had to be connected, and ceilings upgraded. Meeting deadlines was of the utmost priority, as after interior construction, countless shelves had to be installed, and 17,000 products stocked. But just in time for the Christmas shopping season, Rossmann in Emmen was ready!
