The well-known department store Loeb, primarily operating in the canton of Bern, renovated its Biel branch in 2019-2020. In addition to a Lidl store, which took over the food area in the basement, the main entrance area on the Nidaugasse side was upgraded. A new client, Dunkin' Donuts, brought in a different color and, with its special coffee bar concept, completely new comfort.

The concept, developed and implemented by teamtischer, is positively versatile. The restaurant can also be reached via a separate entrance when the department store is closed. This allows customers to enjoy the finest donuts early in the morning, late in the evening, and on Sundays. And when the department store is open, the attractive coffee bar is accessible through the sliding glass partition wall, inviting passers-by and Loeb customers to linger.

teamtischer was invited to carry out this project as a general contractor, from the first rough planning through the approval process to the effective handover of the shop. And together with the people responsible for Dunkin' Donuts, Loeb, and of course many Biel residents, we were happy about the new, sweet, and colorful offering, and a fine cup of coffee.
