Since 1750, in the shops under the Monastery’s Arcades, merchants have been selling goods for pilgrims. After four years of renovation, new shops found their homes beneath the arcade arches, attracting tourists, passers-by, and locals.

One of these new stores is the Milchmanufaktur. The store concept, developed by teamtischer in cooperation with Milchmanufaktur, offers an attractive range of products – from fresh dairy and fine cheeses to cloister wine and, on special occasions, small takeaway dishes.

teamtischer supervised this project as general contractor, responsible for design, planning, and construction. Despite the complexity caused by the limited space and the requirements of monument protection and the monastery, we completed the project, together with local craftsmen, in time for the Christmas market in December 2019. And the Milchmanufaktur’s amazing raclette sold like crazy!
